The film, which explores the day’s theme, We always choose the safest way, supports a day of activities designed to reinforce the company’s safety culture.
On the occasion of its 13th annual health and safety day, ArcelorMittal has today released a new film designed to reinforce the critical importance of a safety-first approach at all times within the organisation.
In choosing this theme, the company emphasizes that safety is the most important choice everyone makes each day, not just on health and safety day. The day is an important opportunity to send a clear, consistent message to everyone that nothing is more important than the safety of ArcelorMittal’s employees and contractors.
ArcelorMittal has made considerable progress in improving its safety performance. Indeed, in 2018, the company’s lost time injury frequency rate was, at 0.69x, the lowest in the group’s history. To make further progress, the company is focussed on improving the way it records, analyses and shares incident reports and best practise across the group, so everyone can learn from accidents to prevent them happening again anywhere.
