Amit Harlalka

Amit Harlalka is the Chief Executive Officer of AM/NS India. He is also a Vice President of ArcelorMittal and a member of the Group Management Committee.

Background

Amit joined ArcelorMittal in 2005 and has held a number of senior finance and leadership positions across the Group. His roles have included financial and project controller of ArcelorMittal Zenica, financial controller for the AAMS segment (Asia, Africa Mining and Stainless) in Luxembourg, and manager finance and controlling of ArcelorMittal Mexico. He subsequently served as Chief Financial Officer of ArcelorMittal Mexico (2011–2015) and Chief Financial Officer of ArcelorMittal International (2015–2017). After a period outside the Group, he rejoined ArcelorMittal in 2019 as General Manager, Strategic Projects, where he worked on the acquisition of Essar Steel. He then served as Deputy Director – Finance of AM/NS India and, since January 2023, as Vice President – Finance and Chief Financial Officer of AM/NS India.

Amit Harlalka is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (All India rank holder). He holds an MBA in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
