
Nicola Davidson
Vice president - Head of corporate communications and sustainable development
Nicola joined the group as head of corporate communications in November 2003.
Background
She led the communications strategy for several acquisitions the group made across central and eastern Europe, and on the merger between Ispat International and LNM Holdings and simultaneous acquisition of International Steel Group in the USA in 2004, which formed Mittal Steel.
She developed and co-ordinated the pan-European communications strategy around the merger to create ArcelorMittal in 2006, after which she was appointed vice president, corporate communications, with responsibility for all aspects of the group’s internal and external communications, and brand, strategies.
In July 2013, Nicola assumed additional responsibility for the group’s corporate responsibility function, playing a pivotal role in establishing and embedding the group’s 10 Sustainable Development Outcomes company-wide. More recently, she had led on many aspects of the group Climate Action activities, leading engagement with a wide range of external stakeholders. She established and chair’s the group’s Climate Change Committee, is a member of the group’s Sustainable Development Council and was appointed to the Group’s Management Committee in February 2021.
