ArcelorMittal Brazil Long Products recognised as Brazil's leading metallurgical company for occupational health and safety

ArcelorMittal Brazil Long Products has been named the best company in occupational health and safety in Brazil's metallurgical sector in the 2026 Best Companies in Occupational Health and Safety Awards, organised by the National Association of Safety Equipment and Occupational Protection (ANIMASEG).

The award recognises organisations that demonstrate excellence in occupational health and safety management, promote a strong culture of prevention and place the protection of people at the centre of their operations.

ArcelorMittal Brazil Long Products received the award following the submission of its Take Care programme, a long-term safety culture initiative launched in 2017 to strengthen risk awareness, personal accountability and shared responsibility across the business.

The programme has evolved through three phases: It Starts with Me, which focused on individual responsibility and risk identification; It Continues with Us, which strengthened collective care and intervention; and Creating Habits, which concentrated on embedding safe behaviours into everyday routines and decision-making.

The award recognises the company's sustained efforts to strengthen its safety culture and reinforce the belief that protecting life is a responsibility shared by everyone.

ArcelorMittal Brazil Long Products was nominated for the award by LEAL, a Brazilian safety specialist and ANIMASEG member company, which identified the company's safety culture transformation journey as a leading example of occupational health and safety excellence.

The winners of the 2026 Best Companies in Occupational Health and Safety Awards will be formally recognised at a ceremony in São Paulo in October.
